One sunny afternoon, Grace and Waffles visited a special place — a butterfly garden!
Grace’s eyes lit up the moment they walked inside. Bright flowers stretched across the garden, and colorful butterflies fluttered all around.
“Wow!” Grace whispered. “Look at all the butterflies!”
Waffles’ nose twitched as she sniffed the air. “I smell flowers… and dirt… and cookies!”
Grace giggled. “Waffles, there aren’t any cookies here!”
Suddenly, a beautiful butterfly landed on Grace’s shoulder. Its wings were bright blue with a little sparkle.
“It’s so pretty!” Grace whispered, careful not to move.
“That butterfly must really like you,” Waffles said. “Maybe she thinks you smell sweet like a flower!”
Grace laughed. “Did you know butterflies drink nectar, just like bees?”
Waffles’ eyes widened. “Whoa! Maybe I should try nectar too!”
“I think you’d rather have cookies,” Grace smiled.
As they explored the garden, Grace and Waffles spotted butterflies of all colors — orange, yellow, and even purple!
“Let’s plant some flowers at home,” Grace said. “Maybe the butterflies will visit us too!”
Waffles wagged her tail. “I’ll help dig the holes!”
“Deal,” Grace said. “But no digging in the cookie jar!”
Waffles giggled. “I can’t make any promises!”
